The universities of Loughborough (Centre for SMART), York and Nottingham are working together, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), with the aim of implementing circular economy in food production and supply by optimising the use of unavoidable food supply chain wastes as a bio-resource.
