Fuel from Straw: an Infield Briquetting Process

Start - Finish:

1990-1992

Research Conducted by:

Dr P.Willmot

Keywords:

Compactor, Closed-End Die Mechanisms

Aims & Objectives:

• To develop a cost effective method of mechanical compaction and transportation of straw for fuel.

Brief Description

Project focussed on the material properties of straw and on the design and development of a novel high speed/low energy compactor mechanism.
